UPDATE #2: Surveillance Photos of Suspects in Fatal Shooting at 9801 Meadowglen Lane

January 12, 2016 - Houston police have released surveillance photos of two suspects wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man found at 9801 Meadowglen Lane about 12:30 a.m. on October 18, 2015.

The suspects are described only as two black males.  One is believed to be approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and in his late teens to early 20s.  He was wearing a hoodie covering his hair.  Surveillance photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.  A sketch of one suspect, previously released in October, is also attached to this news release.

The victim, Brian Quintero Medrano, 23, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Parker and Officer J. Nguyen reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting in-progress call at the Madison Park apartments at the above address and found Mr. Medrano lying in a grassy area near the apartment complex.  He had suffered gunshot wounds.

Witnesses stated two unknown black male suspects were seen leaving the scene.

Further investigation determined the two suspects were seen in two surveillance photos taken at a nearby convenience store shortly before the fatal shooting.  A third photo was taken at the apartment complex moments before Mr. Medrano's murder.
Investigators believe the suspects are targeting Hispanic residents who visit check cashing businesses and are believed to be subsequently carrying cash.  Investigators also believe the suspects may be involved in several other robberies.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
