Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 2036 Sul Ross


July 11, 2016 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the assault of a male that occurred at 2036 Sul Ross at about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday (July 9).

The suspect, Vincent Asher Dancer (w/m, 20) is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 183rd State District Court.  He is accused in the assault of Stephen Brown, 49, of Houston, who suffered head trauma and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Harris and Officer M. Perez reported:

Officers responded to an assault in-progress call at the above address and were flagged down by a citizen who directed them to the residence.  Upon arrival, officers found Dancer who stated he had assaulted Mr. Brown with a glass globe and that he believed he had killed him.  

Dancer was arrested at the scene without incident.
