July 12, 2016 - Houston police have released a photo of a person wanted for questioning in a fatal crash that occurred at 7800 Galveston Road at about 10 p.m. on June 23.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in locating Martin Ayala Sanchez, 31, to determine what information he might have regarding this fatal crash.  A photo of Sanchez is attached to this news release.

The victim, Kevin Joel Berrios-Rivera, 19, of Houston, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roque and Officer A. Holmes reported:

The driver of a burgundy Scion was traveling southbound on Galveston Road and was attempting to make a left hand turn when the driver of a blue Ford Mustang struck the Scion from behind.  The Mustang came to a stop near the railroad tracks a short distance south of the original crash.  The driver then fled on foot.  All five persons inside the Scion were transported to area hospitals.  Mr. Berrios-Rivera was sitting in the rear of the Scion when he was injured.
