Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8914 Westheimer Road


June 28, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8914 Westheimer Road about 1:25 p.m. on Monday (June 27).  

The victim, 26, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Klementich and C. Hogue reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim being treated by HFD paramedics for gunshot wounds.  He was then transported to the hospital where he died.  

Further investigation determined the male got into an argument that escalated into a fight.  During the fight, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim.  The suspect then fled the scene.

The suspect is described only as a black male, about 6 feet tall with facial tattoos.  He has short hair with multiple rubber bands/beads tied on his hair tips.
