Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7006 Bintliff


October 4, 2016 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 7006 Bintliff about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday (October 2).  

The suspect, Julio Antonio Hernandez-Faced (H/m, 25) is charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of Roberto Bermudez, 38, of Houston, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Officer K. McDonald reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found HFD emergency personnel had subdued several males fighting in the street.  HFD paramedics then entered the residence and found Mr. Bermudez deceased on the floor.  According to witnesses, several family members restrained Hernandez-Faced as he tried to flee the residence.  Hernandez-Faced, who sustained several lacerations to the head during the struggle with family members, was taken into custody.  He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital for treatment and then to the Harris County jail.
