Fatal Crash at 4300 Collingsworth
October 17, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4300 Collingsworth about 8:05 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 15).
The identity of the deceased male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:
The victim was driving a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at a high rate of speed eastbound on Collingsworth when he struck the rear of a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The pickup truck then left the roadway and struck a tree. Paramedics pronounced the driver dead at the scene. The driver of the Monte Carlo was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
