Fatal Crash at 6000 North Freeway
September 30, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6000 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) at about 6:10 a.m. today (Sept. 30).
The identity of the male victim, 50, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer D. Henley reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of the freeway at the above address when he was struck by several vehicles. Drivers of a black Mazda RX8, a red Toyota Tundra, a brown Chevrolet Malibu and a black Ford Mustang all struck the victim and stopped at the scene.
Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. It was dark with limited lighting when the crash occurred.
The investigation is continuing.
