Eduardo Trevino
This is a 2023 page
Eduardo Trevino is an inspired 11-year-old singer and musician. He was born March 22, 2012. He’s had a natural rhythm and ear for music
since the age of two. His first inspiration came from Christian Mariachi music.
He would listen and sing along for hours to a CD of mariachi music. Eduardo's talent of playing and singing runs deep in his blood from both sides of the family. His great grandfather Trevino was a musician/singer/songwriter back in 1900's.
He recorded in San Antonio in the 1930's. He could not pursue his dream due to lack of income and having to provide for the family back in Mexico.
During the pandemic of 2020, Eduardo used that downtime to teach himself to play guitar after a one-hour lesson from his uncle "Manny". Eduardo’s first Talent Show was for “Lake Houston’s Got Talent “in 2021 and he won first place. A year later he also won first place in both “Festival OTI Kids 2022,” and “Niños con Talento” which were both local Houston competitions. The biggest accomplishment so far has been winning first place in the elementary/middle school category at the “28th Mariachi Extravaganza” that was held in San Antonio this past November 2022. It is a national competition where the top vocalist and Mariachi groups compete. Eduardo has also performed the National Anthem at the Houston Astros and Rockets game. The goal is to perform for all of Houston's professional leagues, and move on to a national Mexican league.
He has also appeared on Jennifer Hudson for 5 de Mayo show, and is a semi-finalist and possible finalist contender for America's Got Talent.
Eduardo hopes to one day be a famous Mariachi singer like the late Vicente Fernandez, and continue the beautiful Mariachi music tradition of our Mexican culture.
He asks for those who love music as much as he does, to follow him on his journey.
