Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5900 Westward
August 27, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 5900 Westward about 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday (August 26).
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers D. Arnold and T. Miller reported:
The victim was walking northbound on Westward when a gray or silver four-door sedan, possibly an early 2000's Chevrolet Malibu or Impala, drove by. Several shots were fired from inside the vehicle and the victim was struck.
The suspect is described only as a possible a Hispanic male.
