2ND Update: Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 4719 West 34th Street



December 1, 2015 - A suspect wanted and charged in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 4719 West 34th Street about 7 p.m. on November 16 is now in custody.

The suspect Jessie Earl Nicholson (b/m, 59), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of his ex-wife, Sheila Elaine Nicholson, 54, of Houston.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Saldana and Officer R. Klementich reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address.  A preliminary investigation determined Ms. Nicholson and a male were seen walking in a parking lot at the above location when, at some point, the male shot Sheila Nicholson.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported her to Ben Taub General Hospital where she later died.  

According to witnesses, the suspect, described only as a black male, got into a blue Ford Taurus and left the scene.  The suspect later returned on foot and drove away in a red Toyota Tercel.  

Further investigation developed information that identified Jessie Nicholson as the suspect in this case and he was charged with murder on November 19.  

HPD officers arrested Jessie Nicholson about 9:30 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 30) in the 3100 block of Mangum Road without incident.
