Surveillance Video, Photos of Suspect Wanted in Robbery at 4900 Westheimer


April 6, 2016 - Houston police have released surveillance video of a suspect wanted in a robbery at 4900 Westheimer about 2:30 p.m. on January 30.  

The suspect is described only as a black male in his mid 20s to mid 30s.  He was driving a white Ford Ranger, with an extended cab and black rims/wheels.  Surveillance video of the suspect can be viewed on the HPD YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/182CGRtMuCc  Surveillance photos of the suspect and his vehicle are attached to this news release.  

The female victim, 75, was exiting a department store in the Galleria area and was walking to her vehicle when the suspect drove up to her in his vehicle.  The suspect then grabbed the victim's purse, causing her to fall and be dragged by the suspect's vehicle.  She suffered minor injuries.  

Shortly after the robbery, the suspect used the victim's credit card to make a purchase at a gas station in the city of Bellaire, close to the scene of the robbery.
