Suspect Arrested, Charged in Baby's Death at 6161 Gulf Freeway

April 25, 2016 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a female infant that occurred at 6161 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) #204 at about 10:45 p.m. on April 16.

Tradeszsha Bibbs (b/f, 22), is charged with capital murder in the 177th State District Court.  A photo of Bibbs is attached to this news release.

She is accused in the death of her daughter, Brielle Robinson, 5 months old.

The HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Miller and Officer C. Elder reported:

Bibbs and her daughter (baby Robinson) were in a room at the Red Carpet Inn at the above address when she heard her daughter crying and picked her up by the arms and dropped her on the bed, causing her to fall to the floor.  Bibbs then continuously struck her daughter in the face, chest, ribs and legs until the child stopped crying.  Baby Robinson was later transported to Texas Children's Hospital where doctors determined she had suffered multiple fractures and severe head trauma.

Further investigation identified Bibbs as a suspect in this case and, on Saturday (April 23), she was arrested and charged without incident.
