Investigation into Woman Found Fatally Shot at 10000 Downs Lane
August 24, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 10000 Downs Lane about 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 23).
The victim, Rena Lumpkins, 54, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Hassig and Officer T. Ferguson reported:
Ms. Lumpkins was found lying in the street at the above address. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. It appears Lumpkins may have been pushed from a vehicle seen leaving the area.
