Fatal Crash at 11100 Gulf Freeway
December 5, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 11100 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) at about 6:50 a.m. today.
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer D. Ashford reported:
The victim was driving a white Ford van northbound on the Gulf Freeway service road and failed to stay in a single lane and struck the concrete base of a light pole. The victim died at the scene.
No other vehicles or persons were involved in the accident.
