Update: Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting at 122 East Crosstimbers


December 12, 2016 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 122 East Crosstimbers about 9:45 p.m. on September 21.  

The suspect, Chad Deon Holley (b/m, 22), is charged with capital murder in the 174th State District Court.  A recent photo (October 2016) of Holley is attached to this news release.

The victim, David Trejo-Gonzalez, 42, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Dykens and T. Fay reported:  

Mr. Trejo-Gonzalez was walking from his vehicle toward his apartment on the opposite side of the building.  As he entered a walkway through the building, he was approached by a male who robbed him.  During the robbery, Trejo-Gonzalez was shot.  The suspect then fled the scene in a white "low-rider" style truck or SUV, driven by an accomplice.  

The suspect was described only as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, wearing black with white shorts.  

Further investigation identified Holley as the suspect in this case.  While in custody on an unrelated offense, Holley was charged with capital murder on Sunday (Dec. 11).
