Investigation into Assault at 1401 Redbud


January 22, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the assault of a woman that occurred at 1401 Redford about 9:30 a.m. today (January 22). 

The victim, 55, suffered a laceration above her eye and a possible broken arm and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital Hospital to be treated for her injuries.  

HPD Major Assaults Unit Detective P. Morrison reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a burglary in-progress call at the above address and learned an unknown suspect broke into the victim's residence through the bedroom window.  When the victim confronted the suspect inside her apartment, she was struck several times with a wooden club-like object.  The victim managed to get away and hid in the bathroom until the suspect left.
