Suspect Charged in Stabbing Incident at 12000 Fleming


January 24, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a woman at 12000 Fleming Drive about 2:05 a.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 23).

The suspect, Minguel Dsouza (A/m, 41), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 209th State District Court.  A booking photo of Dsouza is not available at this time.

The victim, Ima Dsouza, 32, was transported to an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives G. Black and A. Hernandez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a disturbance call in an apartment at the above address.  Upon arrival, they learned Ms. Dsouza and her husband, Minguel Dsouza, were arguing when he grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his wife in the abdomen.  Ms. Dsouza's mother came out of a bedroom, saw her wounded daughter and ran for help.  Suspect Dsouza then turned the knife on himself, causing serious injury.  Both Ima and Minguel Dsouza were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
