    • The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

      HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olivo and Officer M. Khan reported:

      The victim was walking through the apartment complex at 9000 Town Park when he
      was approached by an unknown black male suspect wearing a red jogging suit with a hood covering his head. For an unknown reason, the suspect shot the victim one time. A witness reported seeing the suspect running west on Town Park and into another apartment complex at 9001 Town Park.

      The suspect is described as being 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a stocky build. He had a mustache and beard.

POLICE Department

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4010 McDuffie Street

February 22, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the apparent murder-suicide of a man and a woman found at 4010 McDuffie Street about 1:25 p.m. on Monday (February 21).

The identities of the male and female are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, which will perform autopsies to determine manners and causes of death.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Daignault and M. Burrow reported:

Officers responded to a call of a woman and her boyfriend found deceased inside an apartment at the above address.  Both had suffered gunshot wounds.  The bodies appeared to be in the early stages of decomposition.  Officers recovered a gun at the scene. 

At this time, the department does not believe there is a continuous threat to the general public.
