74th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade

Stephen F. Austin High School "Sonic Boom" Marching Band

The Stephen F. Austin Sonic Boom has performed in the Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade every year since 2005. The band is accompanied by the Emeralds Drill Team and Envy Color Guard. In the past two years the program was named a Grammy Signature School, received their Second Congressional Award of Recognition and most recently received a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for their work in the East End Community. The band director Mr. Runnels is currently in New York representing Texas in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in a "Saluting America's Band Directors" performance.
