The mission of the Training & Development Division is to promote professional development, employee engagement and to provide the highest quality trainings to our employees.

We conduct departmental orientation for our new employees and assist with employee onboarding and offboarding. We facilitate ongoing employee engagement and recognition programs. Deploy process and policy improvement initiatives.  Manage citywide reservations for the City Hall Basement conference rooms and training rooms. The Training Division is a liaison with the Human Resources Department, Harris County Department of Education, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
