Sissel Carlsen serves as the Community Liaison for the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. A graduate of the University of Houston, Sissel cultivated her skills and nurtured her passion for social justice during her academic journey.

Post-graduation, she dedicated herself to contributing to the community through roles in various non-profit organizations across Houston, with a primary focus on social services for individuals experiencing domestic abuse. In her current capacity with the Mayor’s Office, Sissel continues her mission of extending assistance to those in greatest need, further solidifying her commitment to social welfare and community service.
