Composite Sketch Released in Attempted Abduction Case

Wanted SuspectNovember 24, 2009 - Investigators in the Houston Police Department’s Major Offenders Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in an attempted abduction in the Kingwood area on October 15.

The suspect is described only as a white male in his 20s or 30s, average build and height. He was wearing a maroon T-shirt with a Texas A&M logo. His face was all red and appeared to have a bad acne problem. A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release.

On October 15, a 10 year-old male was walking when he was approached by the suspect on a red and white mountain bike in the 22400 block of Trail Tree. As the suspect asked the boy for directions, the child became suspicious and backed away. The suspect then told the boy he was a police officer. When the child asked the suspect for his badge, the suspect said he left it at home. The boy gave the suspect false directions and the suspect rode off on his mountain bike. The suspect then made a u-turn and started riding back towards the boy so the child ran to a neighbor’s house.

Anyone with information on this case or on the identity of the wanted suspect is urged to contact the HPD Major Offenders Division at 713-308-3100.
