Fatal Shooting at 8200 Parker Road January 07, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8200 Parker Road about 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 6). The victim, Steven Armstead, 18, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and was transported to L. B. J. Hospital where he was pronounced dead. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. D. Chandler and Senior Police Officer L. K. Lovelace reported: Mr. Armstead was visiting a friend’s house when there was a knock at the door. As Armstead opened the door, an unknown suspect fired in his direction and struck him. Armstead was then taken by private vehicle to the hospital.
