Fatal Shooting at 8103 Homestead Road

January 19, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8103 Homestead Road about 4:55 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 18).

The victim, Kirk Oliver Daley, 30, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was transported to LBJ General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer M. A. Khan reported:

Mr. Daley left work with several of his co-workers to cash his tax refund check. After cashing his check, Daley walked towards his vehicle and was approached by three unknown male suspects, who demanded the money. Daley struggled with the suspects and, while attempting to flee, he was shot. As Daley lay on the ground, one of the suspects went through his pockets.

Two of the suspects are described only as black males. One is 18 to 25 years of age and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He wore a white long sleeve shirt, baggy blue jeans and white shoes. The other suspect is 20 to 27 years of age and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He wore a black long sleeve shirt, gray jeans and white shoes. All three suspects were last seen in an older model gray, four-door Chevrolet or Oldsmobile and a gold, two-door Chevrolet, possibly a Monte Carlo.
