Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8054 South Gessner

March 15, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8054 South Gessner about 4:30 a.m. today (March 15).

The male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Dillingham and Senior Police Officer R. Figueroa reported:

Patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting at 8054 South Gessner and found the victim deceased in the parking lot. Witnesses reported that the victim, who was wearing a security guard uniform but was not on duty at the time, was attempting to get into his vehicle when he was approached by two unknown males. A struggle ensued and the victim was shot. Witnesses report that the victim’s gun may have been taken from him during the struggle. His weapon was not recovered at the scene.

The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males, one with a distinct limp on his right side. They fled in either a silver or gray Nissan Altima or Maxima.
