Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7620 Katy Freeway

May 27, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 7620 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday (May 26).

Ronald Keith Foreman, 21, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other victim, Glenn Earl Hickman, 26, was also shot multiple times and transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T.M. Biggs and Officer J.A. Harvey reported:

Mr.’s Foreman and Hickman met with two male suspects in the parking lot of the Marq-E Entertainment Center on the Katy Freeway service road to conduct a drug transaction. During the course of the transaction, shots were fired and both Foreman and Hickman were struck multiple times. Both were transported to the hospital.

Further investigation led to a vehicle that contained possible suspects involved in the shooting. That vehicle was stopped and seven people were detained for questioning.

No charges have been filed at this time.
