Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1306 East 34th

November 25, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1306 East 34th about 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 24).

The male victim, Fernando Mora, 47, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene of a gunshot wound to the chest.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E.B. Cisneros and Senior Police Officer D.S. Vasquez reported:

Mr. Mora and his family were inside their home when four suspects forced their way in through the front door, ransacked the house and demanded money. At some point during the invasion, one of the suspects shot Mora inside one of the bedrooms. The suspects then fled the scene. Mora’s wife and infant son were not harmed.

The suspects are described only as four Hispanic males, possibly driving a black SUV.
