Fatal Traffic Accident at 7800 Mlk Boulevard January 19, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7800 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 4:45 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 17). The identity of the deceased male victim, 36, of Houston, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. The male driver of a red Oldsmobile Aurora was traveling north on Martin Luther King Blvd. when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a male pedestrian, a fence and then a large oak tree. The passenger in the Oldsmobile was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious condition and the pedestrian was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, also in serious condition. The investigation is continuing.
