Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11300 Homestead
April 11, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 11300 Homestead at about 2:10 p.m. Monday (April 10).
The identity of the female victim, 49, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Vanderbull and Officer D. Rodriguez reported:
The victim was walking southbound in Homestead on the sidewalk when she attempted to cross the street, not in a crosswalk, and was struck by a black Chrysler 300. The driver of the Chrysler stopped and was determined not to be impaired. Witnesses stated the victim was talking on a cell phone as she attempted to cross the roadway.
