July 19, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11230 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road about 12:30 a.m. today (July 19).

The identity of the deceased male victim, 57, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Fendia and Officer L. Galvan reported:

The victim and an adult female were walking on the shoulder of the roadway at the above address when they were struck by a gray Honda, which then fled the scene.  Paramedics transported the male pedestrian to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The female suffered only minor injuries.
