Investigation into Shooting at 1717 Travis


August 2, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of two males at 1717 Travis about 2 a.m. today (August 3).  

The males were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital to be treated for their wounds.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers R. Montalvo and M. Barrow reported:  

HPD patrol officers in the area of the above address heard several gunshots.  They arrived on the scene and were told by several witnesses an unknown male had been struck by a vehicle in front of a night club at that location.  Shots were also fired by unknown persons at the vehicle.  Officers then saw the vehicle flee the scene before coming to a stop in the 1600 block of Travis.  

Officers approached the vehicle and the three males inside, two of them with gunshot wounds, fled on foot.  Two of the males were located in the 900 block of Bell Street and transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to local hospitals.  The third male remains at large.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
