Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2600 Orem


August 4, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 2600 West Orem at 3 a.m. today (August 4).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Young and E. Contreras reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim deceased in the driver's side of the vehicle.  According to witnesses, the victim's vehicle stopped at the intersection of Almeda and West Orem, when a black SUV pulled up to the driver's side of the vehicle.  An unknown suspect(s) fired numerous shots from inside the vehicle, striking the victim multiple times.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.
