Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 7218 Bretshire

August 22, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a female at 7218 Bretshire about 10:10 p.m. on Monday (August 21).

The suspect, Vinshala F. Franzis (b/f, 18), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 176th State District Court.  A photo of Franzis is attached to this news release.

The victim, 16, sustained a stab wound to the back and is in stable condition at an area hospital.

The victim and Franzis got into an argument at the above address that escalated when Franzis stabbed the victim.  Officers arrived and placed Franzis into custody.
