Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting of Woman Found at 12247 Sunset Meadow Lane


February 17, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 12247 Sunset Meadow Lane about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday (February 16).

The suspect, Jerald Dewayne Watt (b/m, 40), is charged with murder in the 351st State District Court for his role in the death of his common-law wife, Rena Marie Hodges, 35.

A photo of Watt, who remains at large, is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Daignault and J. Dominguez reported:

Ms. Hodges was found deceased in her town home at the above address.  She suffered at least one gunshot wound.  Information was developed and led investigators to identify and charge Watt in her death.

Watt is wanted and could be driving in two vehicles:  a 2002 blue Ford Explorer with Texas license plates FJW-9847 or a 2010 white Nissan Versa with Texas license plates 8KMWV (handicapped plate).
