UPDATE: Suspect Charged, Wanted in 2015 Fatal Shooting at 9700 Mesa Drive

January 6, 2017 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 9700 Mesa Drive about 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23, 2015.

The suspect, Gary Louis White (b/m, 39) aka "Ace," is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court.  A photo of White, who remains at large, is attached to this news release.

The victim, Eric B. Sanders, 32, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Sturdivant, Senior Police Officer D. Arnold and Officers I. Ulloa and E. Wohlgemuth reported:

Witnesses heard a gunshot in the courtyard of an apartment complex at the above address and observed the victim, Mr. Sanders, lying on the ground. Paramedics were called to the scene and transported Sanders to the hospital.

Further investigation led to the identification of White as a suspect and he was subsequently charged in this case.
