UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 3746 Southlawn


January 25, 2017 - A suspect wanted and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 3746 Southlawn about 10:40 p.m. on October 19, 2016, is now in custody.  

The suspect, Traymone Edward White (b/m, 24), is charged with murder in the 177th State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of Julius Calvin Allen, 25, of Houston, who died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer E. Aguilera and Officers M. Arroyo and J. Dodson reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found Mr. Allen with multiple gunshot wounds.  Paramedics pronounced Allen deceased.  Investigators interviewed several witnesses who identified a person of interest as Traymone White, who they say fled the scene in a 2013 gray or silver Chevrolet Cruze.  The vehicle has a pink license plate frame and tinted windows.  

Further investigation developed information on White's whereabouts and, on Tuesday (January 24), he was taken into custody without incident.
