July 5, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2100 Lockwood about 7:35 p.m. on Monday (July 3).  

The identity of the male victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer D. Rodriguez reported:  

The victim was operating a Honda CBR motorcycle at a high rate of speed northbound on Lockwood and struck a black Mitsubishi Lancer traveling westbound on Nichols.  The victim died at the scene.  The driver of the Mitsubishi was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious condition.  Two passengers in the Mitsubishi, an adult female and a juvenile, were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

The investigation is continuing.
