Investigation into Shooting at 4920 Marable


May 1, 2017 - HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 4920 Marable about 11:25 p.m. on Saturday (April 29).

The victim, Juan Francisco Marquez, 56, of the above address, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Heaverlo and S. Gromyko reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting-in-progress call at the above address.  Upon arrival, they observed Mr. Marquez suffering from a gunshot wound.  It is believed he and another man began arguing while at a birthday celebration.  During the argument, the suspect produced a gun and shot Marquez before fleeing.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Marquez to the hospital.

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s.
