Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4855 West Fuqua

October 16, 2017 - The fatal shooting of a male at 4855 West Fuqua at about 4:35 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 15) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The male, Tyrone T. Scott (b/m, 35), was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Waters II and G. Sullivan reported:

Scott arrived at the above address and observed a woman known to him in the garage speaking with her male friend.  When Scott pulled his vehicle into the driveway and blocked the woman's car, the woman's friend and Scott had a short verbal altercation.  The friend then left to his car, parked nearby.

Scott and the woman then began arguing, with Scott making demands of the woman.  When the woman refused his demands, Scott began striking her in the head and face.  The confrontation took place in a tight area of the garage between the garage wall and the driver's side of the woman's vehicle.  The woman then accessed her pistol from her car and began shooting at Scott.  When Scott was struck, the woman's friend called 911.  Paramedics arrived and pronounced Scott deceased.  The woman, 33, suffered minor wounds.

The incident is being investigated as a family violence case since Scott and the woman were involved in a relationship.
