Investigation into Assault at 148 Spell Street


September 11, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the assault of a male found at 148 Spell Street at about 6:30 p.m. last Friday (Sept. 8).

The victim, Ernest Kirby, 54, of the above address, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers R. Montalvo and R. Watson reported:

Mr. Kirby was found inside his residence at the above address by a neighbor lying face down and suffering from head trauma and a broken arm.  It is believed Kirby had an argument with an unknown black male known only as "Cliff."  A white Chevrolet Impala bearing Texas license plates "JLX1712" was seen leaving the residence.
