Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 800 Federal Road
January 29, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 800 Federal Road about 2:10 a.m. on Sunday (January 28).
The identity of the victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide DIvision Detectives J. Villareal and W. Huff reported:
A witness walking to a vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 12300 Maxey Road heard a gunshot and then saw taillights from a vehicle that crossed Federal Road and drove into a ditch. The witness then saw three males running in the direction of the Fleming Food Mart.
HFD paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim, with an apparent gunshot wound, in the driver's seat of the vehicle. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
