Local Employers Ready to Hire at the Turnaround Houston Job Fair

September 25, 2024 -- The City of Houston’s Office of Business Opportunity (OBO) is excited to announce the Fall 2024 Turnaround Houston Job Fair, scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  at the Hiram Clarke Multi-Service Center, located at 3810 W. Fuqua St., Houston, TX, 77045.

Over 30 employers and resource organizations are anticipated to participate. OBO has partnered with Workforce Solutions and Mayor Pro-Tem Martha Castex-Tatum to launch an essential initiative aimed at helping job seekers who encounter difficulties securing employment. This initiative targets individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, or have a history of incarceration. Turnaround Houston effectively links these individuals with potential employers, agencies and organizations that offer vital services and resources.
Since its inception in March 2016, the Turnaround Houston Job Fairs have supported more than 7,000 individuals find employment.

“This event showcases our commitment to uplifting the community and creating opportunities for employment. We are excited to witness the beneficial effects it will bring to both job seekers and employers,” said OBO Interim Director Cylenthia Hoyrd.

The event is free and open to the public. Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and dress professionally. Pre-registration is recommended but not required.
