Mini-Murals in District H
Mini Murals reimagine traffic signal control cabinets as a canvas for art and a focal point for the neighborhood. Produced by UP Art Studio beginning in 2016, mini-murals, which can be found at intersections with a traffic signal, instill civic pride while beautifying neighborhoods and enhancing the urban landscape.
Council Member Karla Cisneros has funded many mini-murals in District H to date, and has worked closely with the Mayor’s office and other partners to provide input on locations, artists, concepts, and renderings on additional mini-murals in District H.
