Mayor Turner to Personally Visit and Thank City Call Takers on National 311 Day

Houston 311 LogoMarch 8, 2023 -- Mayor Sylvester Turner will visit the city’s 311 agents on Friday, March 10 to show his appreciation for their hard work. National 311 Day is officially celebrated on 3/11, which falls on a Saturday this year.

The Houston 311 office at 2805 McKinney Street will celebrate the occasion throughout the day and the mayor plans to drop in personally to thank them at 3:45 p.m.

“These dedicated city employees answer about 3,200 phone calls every day and because of them, our residents have a 24/7 resource for city information and non-emergency services, boasts Mayor Turner. “In case they feel like they sometimes have a thankless job, I want them to know that they are appreciated, and I want to personally and genuinely thank them for everything they do.”
