Our mission is to effectively provide insurance related services to City departments and to associated boards, commissions and related authorities. Services include insurance consulting and recommendations for contracts and establishment and maintenance of the City's commercial insurance programs.

Division Responsibilities

  • Administer All Non-Employee Benefit Insurance for the City of Houston
  • Post Disaster Insurance Recovery for City-owned Property Valued at  > $10 Billion
  • Manage All Insurance Policy Claims
  • Develop and Coordinate All Property/Casualty Insurance Procurements
  • Provide Citywide Insurance Advisory Services
  • Administer the City Insurance Broker of Record Contract
  • Administer the Notary Public Bond Program for All 23,000+ City Employees
