New Year’s Day Collection Schedule
There will be no collection services Monday, January 15th. All SWMD facilities including the Neighborhood Depositories/Recycling Center, Westpark Recycling Center and The Reuse Warehouse will be closed. MORE>>


Christmas Tree Recycling
Residents can recycle their trees by dropping them off at one of twenty-four (24) free drop-off recycling sites in Houston. The program runs from December 26, 2023, to January 26, 2024. MORE »

Solid Waste Cart Management
Effective July 1, 2020 and pursuant to City of Houston Ordinance Amending Sections 39-1, 39-49, 39-62, AND 39-63, passed by City Council on 05/13/2020, a $1.14 cart fee will be charged to water accounts that receive COH Solid Waste Service. MORE »


Proper Motor Oil Disposal
Used motor oil is not collected in your curbside collection. Used motor oil is a contaminant of waterways, so do not dump down the drain or trash. MORE »


Thanks but NO TANKS
Your disposable helium tanks are not accepted in your curbside recycling. Placing tanks in the trash cart is also hazardous. MORE »
