C.A.S.E.Y. is an acronym for cultivating, advising, strengthening, and empowering youth. C.A.S.E.Y. Fire Ops is dedicated to mentorship because we know these career paths are viable “pipelines” for students’ career opportunities at graduation.
The program will build self-esteem, social and behavioral skills, encourage and foster students to be good citizens and great role models amongst their peers.

The purpose of the program is to create and foster a career path for high school students to become a Firefighter/EMT with the Houston Fire Department.
The Human Resources Department (HRD) Special Projects Team and the Houston Fire Department (HFD) Firefighters visit high schools in the Houston Area. During these visits we educate students on how to become a Houston firefighter or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The C.A.S.E.Y Club Program was created to provide a diverse group of students with a structured path to a career in the Houston Fire Department.
Engage students at every level of education through hands-on career exploration. The program will serve the community by exposing students to career paths within the Houston Fire Department through hands-on activities, mentorship, and advocating for dual credit programs, allowing students to obtain their Fire and EMT Certifications to become Houston Firefighters. The Human Resources Special Projects division’s objective is for students to consider, prepare for, and even experience a job with the City of Houston. Our educational institutions can become viable “pipelines” for future employees.
The C.A.S.E.Y Club Program builds strong partnerships with area high schools in underrepresented communities and; with the community colleges that offer a Fire/EMT curriculum. C.A.S.E.Y Club members will participate in the following activities:
