September 07, 2021 - Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash at 7900 Corporate Drive about 5:35 p.m. on August 28 has died.  

The victim, 49, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  Doctors pronounced him deceased on August 31.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer X. Zhang reported:  

An orange Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound near the above address when the driver changed lanes to avoid striking a vehicle in front of him.  The pickup truck struck a white Jeep Latitude entering Corporate Drive from a side street.  The pickup truck then went into the southbound lanes of Corporate Drive and struck a red Toyota Rav 4 head-on.  The truck then continued onto the westside sidewalk and struck the victim, a bicyclist, who was knocked to the ground and struck his head.  The victim was transported by paramedics to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

All other persons involved in the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries.  

The driver of the pickup truck, who remained at the scene, was evaluated and determined not to be impaired.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
